Letter & Number Trace
Before a kid can write on paper, tracing a dotted letter with a finger is where the muscle memory actually starts. This app puts every capital and lowercase letter A through Z in Letter Mode, and digits 1 through 10 in Number Mode, each one paired with an emoji so the letter or number means something beyond its shape.
Two modes
- Letter Mode — trace the capital and lowercase form of each letter side by side, with a word like "A is for Apple" to connect the shape to a sound.
- Number Mode — trace each digit while a matching row of emoji lets a kid count along as they go.
How the tracing itself works
Dragging a finger or mouse along the dotted outline lights it up section by section. Once enough of the letter or number is lit, a success chime plays and the app moves on automatically — no waiting for a parent to check the work. Tap Clear at any point to wipe the current strokes and try that same letter again.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the game know if a letter was traced correctly?
As a finger or mouse drags along the dotted outline, that section lights up. Once enough of the letter or number is lit, a success chime plays and the game moves on to the next one.
Does it cover the whole alphabet, or just a few letters?
Letter Mode covers every capital and lowercase letter from A to Z, each paired with an emoji and a matching word. Number Mode separately covers digits 1 through 10, each shown alongside a matching row of emoji.
What if a kid messes up a letter halfway through?
Tapping Clear wipes the current strokes instantly so they can start that same letter over, with no penalty.
