Slither
Growing your snake is the easy part — glowing orbs are scattered everywhere and every bite adds length. Staying alive while you do it is the actual game, since running your own head into any other snake's body, even one shorter than yours, ends the run instantly.
Steering and growing
- Move your mouse, or drag your finger on touchscreens, to steer your snake's head.
- Eat glowing orbs scattered around the arena to grow longer.
- Check the minimap and Rank counter in the corner to see how you compare to the other snakes.
Using Boost without running out
Holding the ⚡ Boost button gives a burst of speed that can escape a close call or cut off a rival snake, but it steadily drains an energy bar — holding it constantly isn't an option, so saving it for the moment it actually matters is the difference between escaping and colliding. Before each game, picking a name, color, and face for your snake is purely cosmetic, a way to make a run feel like yours without changing how it plays.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if your snake hits another snake?
Running your head into any other snake's body ends your run instantly, no matter how long your own snake has grown.
What's the trade-off with using Boost?
Boost moves you faster but steadily drains an energy bar, so it can't be held down the entire game.
Can you customize how your snake looks?
Yes — a name, color, and face before each game, purely cosmetic.
